Father's Day 2010

Father's Day, this year was celebrated twice. All of our children could not come together on the same date, so we ended up celebrating twice. We had dinner a Buca Di Beppo on the 19th and then we had brunch at  home. For me, it's very important that our children celebrate their Father. Les has been an Amazing father and our children have truly been blessed to have him! There is absolutely NOTHING Les would not do for his kids and for this he deserves to be celebrated! Love you Mr. Moore!

June's Challenge

For the month of June we were asked to design a page depicting any of the typical Summer activities. The Red Bee had just received a shipment of SEI paper lines. I love the beach theme line, so I went with it! I've had major inspiration kicking it lately, soooo grateful for that!

May's Project Challenge

For the month of May we were asked to design our own theme page but we should also decorate a paint pail. Here's what I came up with. For the pail, I used Graphic 45's paper line. Love their paper!

Here's my scrapbook page I created. These lovely ladies seated next me are my friends from Church. We attended a women's retreat at Saddleback. So glad I had the opportunity to attend. My soul needed the nourishment!

April's Page

For the month of April, I created a Mother's Day page. I actually ventured usually colors I would normally not use. I surprised myself. I actually liked it. Most of the paper was from GCD Melody Ross' line.

The Red Bee Design Pages

It's been a while since I've uploaded some of the pages I've created for the Red Bee. For this layout the challenge was to create a page from the kit we were provided with. This was March's challenge.

February Page for the Red Bee

These days seem to be very busy. Though, I keep thinking things will slow down and I will actually have a bit of time for myself. This has not happened yet this year, but I keep hoping! Anyway, here's the page I designed for The Red Bee for the month of February. One of the requirements was to use yarn. I opted to use pom pom yarn for this project.

I decided to use pictures from Emma's birthday party. She had such a great time and she looked so cute in her dress-up dress!

A Piece of Wisdom

You know, I really really really struggle with keeping my opinions to myself, and when I don't, I really really really work at making sure, I say things in the best possible way. I have a lovely family member that lives in their own little world and quite often makes statements in such an insulting way that it leaves me speechless. Yes, sometimes, I wish I would just say things and not care about other people's emotions or feelings, but somehow I do care, so I am tactful in the way I say things. But, this family member at times just has a way of getting to me.

So, I thought I would share a Bible verse that I often turn to, because honestly I just need to be reminded. And, I know I am not the only one that struggles with people who live in their own little world mindlessly forgetting it is not all about them! Along with this verse, I also remind myself that  It is not about me as pastor Rick states in his book The Purpose Driven Life.  With that in mind here's the Bible verse I turn to often, especially when this family member pops in:

"Do not let unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." Ephesians 5:11 (message)

Have a great day!
